During this very difficult year many of our friends and neighbors are in need of food and services.  Local food banks have been stretched thin.  We thought it would be fun to hold a community event known as the Solar Plunge (take-off on the Polar Plunge) to challenge the community to raise money for these charitable missions.  Local community groups, businesses, individuals, and families can put together or sponsor a team to help raise money for this challenge.  It’s a fun way to come together and have a great time, while doing good for your community.

Raising Money for the challenge:  Teams are challenged to raise as much money as they can by seeking donations from friends, family and businesses.  Those teams that raise a minimum of $500 will be invited to the Solar Plunge event.  Teams raising more than $500, $1,000, $5,000 will be entered into special raffles to win prizes and to be recognized on social media within the community.

The Lions Club hopes to raise $30,000 for local charities, so please give generously!
